Pernah mendengar istilah "kawanan"?
Dalam kamus Bahasa Indonesia, kata kawanan termasuk dalam kata nomina (n) yang artinya sekumpulan orang atau binatang yang berkawan; sekumpulan binatang sejenis; sekelompok manusia. Dalam hal ini, kawanan yang saya maksud adalah kawanan yang artinya sekumpulan binatang sejenis yang ada di satu tempat yang sama.

Dalam istilah Bahasa Indonesia, kata 'kawanan' bisa digunakan untuk berbagai jenis hewan. Kita mengenal istilah kawanan domba ternak, kawanan sapi, kawanan semut, dll. Namun tidak seperti Bahasa Indonesia, dalam Bahasa Inggris, terdapat beragam istilah atau phrase yang biasa digunakan untuk menyatakan kawanan hewan, tergantung jenis hewan tersebut.
