Too Much "Very" is Ineffective





Hi Folks! Do you often use the word "very" in your written sentences or conversations? The word "very" is used to make adjectives sound stronger. On the other hand, it has the effect of lessening the importance of something we intend to emphasize, or we can simply say ineffective.

Why is “very” ineffective?  The word “very” doesn’t give any extra information, except for a vague understanding of degree.  As readers, people understand that “very beautiful” means “more beautiful than most”, but the readers don’t understand how she looks exactly.
